Cynthia Ryan

Cynthia Ryan is principal of the Schooner Foundation, a progressive family foundation that focuses on human rights, peace and security. She serves on the boards of Women for Women International, the Nation Institute, Green for All and the Fund for Global Human Rights. Ryan is a contributing author to Women, Philanthropy and Social Change: Journey to a Just Society. She received a B.A. from the New School for Social Research and a masters degree from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
