Nancy Stephens
Nancy Stephens is a mother of three children, an actress, and a lifetime activist, who proudly serves nationally on the boards of The Union of Concerned Scientist and Americans for the Arts. In Los Angeles, she is the Governor’s Appointee to the Advisory Board of the Santa Monica Mountain’s Conservancy as well as serving on the board of The New Roads School.
"This year, I am pleased to be a part of Julia’s Circle to honor my mother, Evelyn Stephens, who passed away last year just shy of her 96th birthday. My mother was a woman full of compassion, community, creativity, faith and peace, setting a great example to follow.
What was not accomplished for peace in her generation must be accomplished now! There is no place on our planet for nuclear weapons. Please join me in supporting Ploughshares this Mother’s Day to insure a world free of nuclear weapons for generations to come."
