Position Summary & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced full-time Senior Communications & Marketing Manager to play a critical role in helping Ploughshares Fund move closer to its ultimate goal of eliminating the threat posed by nuclear weapons.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, problem-solving project manager with a minimum of five years of experience in the nonprofit communications and marketing industry. We are looking for a diplomatic and collaborative team player and lead communicator who can help Ploughshares Fund implement big picture strategies while also adapting to fast-paced, deadline-sensitive day-to-day needs.
Exceptional writing and editing skills are essential. This candidate has a savvy eye for earned media opportunities, news trends and social media campaign strategies that amplify the Ploughshares Fund story. Experience cultivating regional and national media outlets preferred.
Overarching responsibilities and objectives will include: developing and implementing social media strategies and campaigns; interacting with innovative media spaces in order to reach new audiences; managing the Ploughshares Fund website; expanding Ploughshares Fund staff’s digital footprint; and collaborating with the development team on executing creative, digital and print fundraising projects.
