On Day 3 of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Review Conference [2] at the U.N., delegates and participants joined Secretary General Ban Ki-moon [3] for a sneak preview of a film central to their discussions: Countdown to Zero [4]. "My friends," said Ploughshares Fund board member Michael Douglas [5] as he introduced the film, "an informed citizenry is a force to be reckoned with, one that our political leaders and decision makers must pay attention to...We all must do our part in making this dream a reality. Educating ourselves and sharing our knowledge with others can make a profound and positive difference for us, our children, and their children."
