Recommendations for U.S. budget

The Project on Government Oversight, a Ploughshares-funded organization, has provided five recommendations for Congress and the White House to reduce costs and increase revenue.  These suggestions include reducing wasteful defense spending; increasing resources for audits and inspections; downblending excess highly-enriched uranium for sale as nuclear fuel and reducing the number of deployed nuclear warheadsm.
