Tauscher's legacy of respect, competence

When Rep. Ellen Tauscher departs for her new job as Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security later this year, she will leave behind a robust legacy.  Tauscher is waiting for U.S. Senate confirmation, which could occur within weeks or months.  Marylia Kelley of Tri-Valley CAREs, a Ploughshares grantee and constituent, commented, "On the whole, I have always found Ellen to be extremely intelligent. I appreciate that she has a very detailed mind and asks penetrating questions. "
