Unilateral Disarmament Claim is Absurd, Says Analyst

In response to a recent column in the Washington Times equating nonproliferation with capitulation, ala, Ploughshares Fund grantee William Hartung of the New America Foundation wrote in a letter to the editor, "Nothing could be further from the truth."

 

"As he demonstrated by calling together the Nuclear Security Summit, Mr. Obama is undertaking a smart, pragmatic and step-by-step approach to reducing nuclear dangers. To call it 'unilateral disarmament' is simply absurd."
