Engaging Young People on Nuclear Weapons Issues

The Center for American Progress' Campus Progress - a Ploughshares Grantee - is hosting an event on nuclear weapons policy in DC next week at Busboys & Poets.

Mona Sutphen, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, will discuss the New START Treaty, the overall nuclear security agenda and ways for young adults to get involved.

Sutphen will be joined by Alex Bell of the Ploughshares Fund, and panel moderator Max Bergmann of the Center for American Progress.  Both Max and Alex are also members of the Prague Project.

If you're in the DC area, please stop by for a great conversation on nuclear weapons policy and why it should matter to you.  Plus, free refreshments will be served.

The event is free and open to the public, but you must RSVP to attend.  Click here to reserve your spot. Have more questions about the event?  Send them over to speakers@campusprogress.org.
