Leave a Legacy
Join the Nuclear Free Legacy Society and Leave a Safer, More Secure World to Future Generations
Ploughshares Nuclear Free Legacy Society recognizes those who are committed to eliminating the greatest threat to our planet – and are sustaining our mission by making a legacy gift to Ploughshares in their will, trust, or estate planning.
Ways to Give
Making a bequest gift to Ploughshares in your will or revocable living trust is easy to arrange and costs nothing to make now. Whether you make a specific bequest or designate a percentage of your estate to Ploughshares, your gift will sustain our mission for years to come.
There's no easier way to support our work to eliminate nuclear weapons and the threat of nuclear war, than by naming Ploughshares as a beneficiary of your IRA, qualified pension plan, life insurance, donor advised fund, gift annuity, or similar asset.
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year from your IRA to qualified public charities, like Ploughshares. For IRA owners of RMD age, QCDs can count toward RMD and lower taxable income - while helping our grantees and partners advance their work.
Donating certain assets like appreciated stock or real estate is a great way to help Ploughshares invest in the smartest people and best ideas in the nuclear field than can also provide significant tax benefits to donors.
Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA) and Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRT) can provide lifetime income and tax benefits to donors - while helping Ploughshares sustain its field-building effort and advance the work of advocates, thought leaders, activists, academics, funders, and others.
Sustaining our mission to eliminate the threat of nuclear weapons.
The Nuclear Free Legacy Society recognizes donors who name Ploughshares as a beneficiary of their will, trust, or IRA – or in another way through their estate plan.
